Time for an Informed Vote
Tomorrow is voting day. This election may not be the most important ballot you have viewed. This is not the midterm, nor is it the next presidential election. It is important. It has been said that every journey starts with a single step. This is that step. It has also been said that a large stone can be moved on chip at a time. This ballot is a way of chipping away at the stone that is this Republican administration. Vote like your life depends on it, because it does. If not your life, someone’s life.
Donald Trump wants to bomb private ships, ostensibly to stop drug smuggling. He wants to possibly invade Nigeria. This threat was made to protect Christians that live there. There has been talk of war with Venezuela. Hitler fought wars on two fronts. This led to the destruction of Germany. Donald’s wars on blue states, other countries, and the private property of others, must end.
It is easy to see the policies of the Republican administration, the excesses, and the false narratives is wrong. What is important here on this election eve, is what may not be seen. Candidates that are Republican or may have Republican leanings, may seek to hide who they are. This administration has had a downturn in popularity. A strategy they seek to use is the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” plan. Some politicians may claim to be Libertarian, or state they are a “family values” candidate. Some will say they are for “lower taxes”, or for restoring order. The problem here is making a hasty quick decision in the polling booth.
So what can be done? The trick is to plan ahead. Look into the background of a candidate. Who supports them? Who endorses them? Backing from big oil or gas. Do they seem to have the back of any major corporation. You may sneak a peak at the local conservative station. Your Fox News affiliate may be touting one candidate or bond proposal as the better deal. The League of Women Voters has been helpful at finding non-partisan information. You may not know who is the Republican candidate. You can find out who is more corporate, and conservative. Plan ahead read the literature.
