Trump's Meandering Speech
Trump’s speech at Quantico was given in front of many generals and military staff. The overarching theme was praise of America’s military might. His talk went on for over an hour, and would be difficult to fact check. One would wonder why checking would be necessary with deeper introspection. The work of Jane Goodall who recently passed on, can be relied upon. A greater insight into Donald Trump can be gained through quiet observation. The comparison here being; Jane watched the chimpanzees, as we should observe Donald.
Trump stated many outrageous claims of stopping wars. One of the boldest claim was his bringing peace to Gaza in the middle east after 3000 years of war. He also took credit for solving turmoil and ending war in other regions.
He took a stroll down memory lane with his discussion of battleships, and the old TV series “Victory At Sea”. This fond memory was the fuel for looking into building modern day battleships. He stated that the technology was old, yet this did not dissuade his discussion of big guns and bullets.
Nuclear war and his love of the explosive power of such weapons. Trump claimed that America had the best submarines, and stated only American subs can not be detected. He did not elaborate on the technology behind this claim. He further pushed that the Chinese and the Russians were 25 years behind the US in such military hardware.
The real take home message here to be gained from observation, was Donald’s need to vilify his adversaries, and to compare himself to Biden. Claims citing Biden’s poor performance and the horrible times during his administration. Trump alluded to being the 46th president during a ramble stating he was the 47th, and the 45th president. He failed to clarify how he was president during Biden’s time in office. If he really felt he is such a wonderful peace maker, and a great president, why does he need to compare himself to Obama or Biden? Why does he use the term “evil” for those who oppose him. Trump does not clarify the vilification with any proof or clear explanation.
Those who lack the patience and fortitude that Jane Goodall had for watching primates hoot-pant, may have found this hour and ten minute diatribe difficult to wade through. The bold over the top claims, the grandstanding, the “I’m good you’re evil” talk, and the comparisons, all point to ego and narcissism. The human version of hoot-panting.
